Terms and Conditions

Welcome to JoinRun.club (“JoinRun”, “we”, “us”, “our”). JoinRun is a platform for running clubs and community groups to organize events, collect registrations, track attendance, and understand their community through analytics.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the JoinRun website, web application, APIs, and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a club or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” refers to both you and the organization.

1. Accounts

1. You must provide accurate, complete information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
2. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your credentials (including API keys) confidential. Notify us immediately at hello@joinrun.club if you suspect unauthorized use.
3. You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to create an account. Organizers are responsible for ensuring their events comply with any age requirements.

2. Clubs, organizers, and members

1. Organizers create and manage clubs, events, registration forms, and attendance on the Service. Organizers control the data collected through their clubs and are responsible for using it lawfully.
2. Members and participants register for events, RSVP, and check in to events. By registering for an event you share the information in the registration form with that event's organizer.
3. Team members invited to a club act on behalf of that club's organizer.

3. Subscriptions and payment

1. Some features of the Service require a paid subscription. Current plans and pricing are shown on our pricing page. Prices are per group, billed monthly unless otherwise agreed.
2. Enterprise pricing is custom and agreed in writing. Optional annual maintenance agreements (covering support, setup, bug fixes, security updates, and inspections) are billed separately as agreed.
3. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next billing cycle.
4. If your subscription lapses, paid features may be disabled but your data remains exportable for a reasonable period.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of others' rights;
• upload content that is defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, or infringing;
• attempt to probe, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our infrastructure;
• scrape, resell, or bulk-extract data from the Service other than through your own data exports or the documented API;
• exceed documented API rate limits, share API keys with third parties, or use the API to build a competing service;
• misrepresent attendance, forge check-ins, or manipulate analytics.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Events and physical activity

JoinRun is a software platform. We do not organize, supervise, or insure events listed on the Service. Organizers are solely responsible for event safety, permits, insurance, and compliance with local law. Participation in running and other physical activities carries inherent risk; participants join at their own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, JoinRun is not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from events organized through the Service.

6. Location-based check-in

Certain attendance features (geofenced check-in) use your device's location, only when you actively choose to check in. Location is used to confirm presence at the event venue and is never collected in the background. See our Privacy Policy for details.

7. Content and data ownership

1. You retain ownership of the content and data you submit to the Service — club pages, event details, registration responses, and attendance records.
2. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service.
3. Public club pages and public event pages are visible to anyone with the link and may be indexed by search engines. Organizers control what is published publicly.
4. Data export tools are provided so you can take your data with you at any time.

8. API access

Where your plan includes API access, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the API in accordance with the documentation. API keys are confidential. We may throttle, version, or modify the API and will make reasonable efforts to announce breaking changes in advance.

9. Upcoming features

Features marked “upcoming” (for example payments, merchandise shops, and custom domains) are announced in advance of availability, may change or be withdrawn before release, and may be subject to additional terms (including third-party payment processor terms) when launched.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by JoinRun and its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our name, logo, or branding without prior written consent.

11. Third-party services

The Service is hosted on third-party infrastructure and may interoperate with third-party services (for example map providers or, when launched, payment processors). We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.

12. Termination

1. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
2. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service (in which case we will give reasonable notice and an opportunity to export your data).
3. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) survive.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JoinRun's total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in that period. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold JoinRun harmless from claims arising out of your content, your events, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will give notice (for example by email or in-app notice) at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at New Delhi, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.
